[या लेखात मी अनेक प्रश्नचिन्हे वापरली आहेत. त्याला माझं आश्चर्य, प्रश्न किंवा विधान; काहीही समजू शकता.]  बरेच दिवस झाले काहीच लिहिलं नाही. काही सुचतच नव्हतं आणि वेळही मिळाला नाही. पण प्रत्येक गोष्टीचं निरीक्षण मात्र केलं. अचानक आता त्या सगळ्या गोष्टी आठवल्या. दोन दिवसांपूर्वी मुंबईतल्या बोरीवली नॅशनल पार्कमध्ये गेलो होतो. फार मोठे आर्कीओलॉजीस्ट डॉ. सुरज पंडित आमच्या सोबत होते. सर्वात पहिल्याच गुहेमध्ये ते आम्हाला माहिती सांगत असताना एक सुशिक्षित बेशिस्त कुटुंब तिथे आलं. त्या लहान मुलांनी तर तिथे धुमाकूळ घातला होता, आणि सरांनी त्यांना समजावण्याचा प्रयत्न केला तर ते लोक ऐकतच नव्हते; म्हणजे मुलं एकपट आणि पालक दुप्पट, अशी गत होती. त्यांचं बोलणं इंग्रजीत चाललं होतं, यावरून ते सुशिक्षित आहेत असा भास झाला, पण त्याच इंग्रजीतून त्यांनी त्यांचं खरं शिक्षण दाखवलं. मग पुढे सरांनी त्यांना गप्प करून तिथून घालवलं आणि म्हणाले "People are urbanized but not civilized". हे वाक्य मला फार सुंदर व महत्वाचं वाटलं. आपण ज्या ठिकाणी, ज्या गावात, शहरात, राज्यात, प्रांतात, देशात, प्रदेशात राहतो, तिथली...
